A 50 Year Legacy

My husband recently had the opportunity to photograph a family reunion which was in celebration of the parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Instead of going away by themselves they chose to bring their family all together on the Central Coast and share those 50 years with their children and grandchildren. Together they filled a jar with sand and shells. Some shells were broken to symbolize the hard, broken years. Others where whole to symbolize the years of joy. Every marriage is filled with both – the trick is to work our way through the bad and the good and remain together.
